A quiet place
between stone
and sea.
Nine rooms in a restored stone farmhouse on the north west coast of Menorca. Open from April to November.

We kept the thick walls, the court and the olive tree that is older than the house. Everything we added is there because a good night needs it: a low bed, a shutter that closes properly, a table that is the right height for breakfast.
Casa Vela has nine rooms and one kitchen. There is no spa menu, no lobby music and no welcome drink on a tray. There is a pool cut into the old terrace, a garden you can pick from and people who will tell you honestly which beach to go to today.
